Well being snowed in is both awesome and sucky!
Awesome cause I have time to catch up on my editing and website but sucky cause I'm bored lol! So lets remember when the weather was warmer and I went to Port Angeles for a beach boudoir session!
2018 was definitely a year of change for me and I know I'm not alone in saying thank goodness that it's over! With the new year comes a sense of renewal and even though I can't wait for all the amazing things awaiting me in 2019, I had a LOT of fun shooting this last year and going on some pretty epic adventures with some pretty awesome people!
With all that said, I wanted to take this post to share some of my favorite shots and adventures from 2018 with you!
It's been a long time since I've done a senior session, but when a good friend contacted me about doing a session for her gorgeous daughter, I just couldn't resist!
We decided on an outdoor woodsy type session, and what better place than Rattlesnake Lake in North Bend, WA!!! It is one of my fave places to go shoot because it has EVERYTHING that one could want, an awesome lake, tree stumps, views of the surrounding hills, trails, and LOTS of trees!!
Delaney ROCKED her session and I seriously LOVE it! I even got a few cute photos of her and her mom at the end of the session!

If anyone is wondering what wedding photographers do in the “off” season, this shoot would be one example! Living in the Pacific Northwest, our off season is typically full of cold rainy days, but we sure got lucky with this amazing boho elopement, nothing but dry skies and sunshine!
Myself and my amazing friend/photographer Sarah of Sarah Gonia Photography decided to put together this amazing styled shoot. We started with some ideas and Pinterest Boards and then put out a model call to find our couple. Sarah found an amazing florist, Shannon of Floral Noir, to put together our bouquet and amazing floral crown! Her vision for the flowers was executed beautifully, and we receive a bouquet that was more than we could of asked for! Seriously, I would love to work with her again and would encourage brides to seek her out for their floral needs! You are guaranteed to receive an amazing bouquet that is truly a vision of art!
We found an amazing location in Pt. Defiance Park, it is full of so many awesome textures and is an ideal location for photos! It features a rose garden, pagoda, lots of trees and is close by to Owens Beach (we did another elopement shoot there too!)
My favorite part of the shoot though was our couple! Marionette’s dress was gorgeous and Cory’s outfit fit the mood perfectly. I enjoyed getting to know them better and see the strong connection between them. They were a breeze to photograph and shared a lot of smiles, laughter and love together throughout the shoot.
I can’t wait to put together more styled shoots in the future! If you have an idea for one, contact me! Let’s collaborate! I would LOVE to help put your vision together and document it!
HUGE thank you to Sarah for helping put this together, and to Marionette and Cory for getting in front of our cameras!
It was such an honor to photograph this wedding! They had a 2 day wedding and we were SO lucky with the weather on both days! Seattle really does have the bluest skies when the sun comes out!
On the first day Nicole and Derek had a small ceremony of family and close friends at Riverview Playfield. The park is nestled in a quiet neighborhood of West Seattle, with a nice field, walking trail and ball field. They had the ceremony in the field under a huge maple tree. It made for the perfect background for the alter space. The ball field located at this park has special meaning to both the bride and groom, as it is where they met! We made sure to go and get some photos of them at the ball field after the ceremony.
The reception on day one was located on the waterfront at Lincoln Park. If you've never been to Lincoln Park you should definitely go check it out! It overlooks the sound with all the ferries and was a gorgeous backdrop to have!
The wedding on both days had a Hawaiian theme which paid tribute to the groom's Hawaiian heritage. The groomsmen and groom wore Hawaiian shirts and Nicole had a stunning, custom handmade lace dress made by Colleen's Creative Sewing located in Seattle. Her bridesmaids wore gorgeous dresses that they found in California. The whole day was gorgeous and filled with love!
The second day was the party for all their extended friends and family!!! It was so much fun!! They had the party at this super cute vintage place in Georgetown called The Stables. The venue had an awesome indoor and outdoor space and a stage for their super fun band Island Soul, which made The Stables the perfect spot for their reception! Everyone had such an amazing time celebrating the bride and groom!
Let's not forget the cake! They had an awesome cake topper and the cake by Stuffed Cakes was pretty darn good too!
It was such an honor to be a part of their big day and I had so much fun putting their wedding gallery together!!
Also, a GIANT thank you to my second shooter Leslie at One Thousand Words Photography!
